You have a couple of options for camping. Most of us stay trackside without any hookups. There is a campsite at the other end of the fairgrounds with full RV hookups that is available, if interested let me know and I can get the details. They also have shower facilities at the fairgrounds for tent campers, etc.

Hope to see the group soon!

We have been asked by ROAR to combine this race with a Region 5 Championship. We have sent in the proper paperwork and hope to hear back soon to make it official. Of course if this happens people from all regions will still be welcome and everything will remain the same, just an added bonus.

Thanks everyone for the info. Not telling the wife about the places to shop but all the other stuff was great info. Now for the fun stuff. What do you all consider good starting points for setup on touring? Any help would be great.

Sorry I can't help you with touring car. Hopefully Dorian, Chuck, Monti or someone else can chime in for help with tire choice, etc.

This is going to be an exciting race. We have great plans for it in each year. We want a good turn out. I had quite a few people say they were coming. Don Jones can come defend his crown. Hopefully we can get some Slash cars here and I can kick some butt. heehee!!

It is my understanding this race is OFFICIALLY a Region 5 Championship Race.
Just 3 weeks away.

That is correct. The Region 5 On Road Fuel Championships will now be part of the Snowball Rally per the Regional Director. As I mentioned earlier competitors from all regions are welcome this is just an added plus for the event.

If everyone comes that has said they are coming or have already pre-entered we will have over 60 racers. Looking good so far!

Nice smooth track. Great drivers stand and good people to race with. What a great way to finish the outside racing season.

Only a couple of weeks left. I will be redoing the track layout prior to the race that hopefully will bring back memories of a former layout from the first IFMAR race in 2002. Temperatures have been nice during the day (upper 60's) and should be ideal weather to max out the engines. The after race cocktial party plans are nearing completion so no one should leave thirsty!

Lon, Mr. Craft from our club and I are meeting this Saturday to put it down. I have not seen the final version but it is based heavily on the layout we used at the 2002 IFMAR 1/10th 235mm World Championships. You can actually see the layout on Virtual RC as we agreed to allow them to use the 2002 and 2003 track for their game. I'm not sure how close it will be but I will know Saturday after doing it and I will put some pictures up. We also have some Toledo-like berms, some Cincy style berms, and some yet to be tried berms. Pan cars should be fun, I've called a couple of people here that used to run them to see if I can get them out of mothballs!
