2011 Short Course Triple Crown
Announcing the MBRC Short Course Triple Crown event!

Due to overwhelming feedback on our online poll, we have decided to run this race as a weekend race, Saturday and Sunday September 24 and 25 with practice available on Friday September 23. Rain date will be October 1 and 2. Lodging information will be posted soon for those interested. Alternatively, you can camp out on the track grounds if you are so inclined. Thank you.
The Triple Crown consists of three races on three different tracks with three different surfaces.

Sat. September 24 - Offroad and Clay Oval
Sun. September 25 - Onroad Course
All prizes to be awarded Sunday following all the mains.
Short Course Classes:
* This is a three race points series with an entry fee of $80 for all three races.
* Each race will have triple A-mains for all classes.
* Points will be awarded at the end of each race day (100 points for first place, 99 for second, 98 for third, etc..)
* Cash payouts for 1st through 6th places of the points series: 1st: $250; 2nd: $125; 3rd: $100; 4th-6th: $50.
Any driver that successfully earns 300 points will be receive a Triple Crown bonus of $1000 (combined cash and MBRC store credit).
(Note: Payouts are based on 20 entries per class.)

- Brushed Box Stock (Losi, Associated, Traxxas, etc RTR vehicles, not the Associated Brushless RTR).

Triple Crown
Hello RC racers I am inviting you all to the MBRC Triple Crown series at the Mushroom Bowl. This series will have the most diverse and challenging Short Course races accompanied by a generous payout and Trophy presentation.

I love this concept, I myself was thinking a series like this would be fun, although I was thinking more along the lines of 3 different tracks with 3 different surfaces (dirt/carpet/asphalt). This sounds just as fun though, I have never run oval or onroad before. I am not a fan of running on Sundays, but I may have to try this.

There will most likely be a spec tire as well. We are currently working with the major tire manufacturers on this. Stay tuned!

Track looked great today thanks again staff at MBRC! Short course trucks were running the show today. Can't wait for the triple crown its gonna be serious! Im locked in 4WD MOD hoping to put together a truck for 17.5 that class looks challenging and fun!!! Can't wait to collect my earnings after these 3 RACES!!!
