Platinum Hobbies & Raceway to open in Columbus Ohio
For quite a few years, Columbus Ohio has not had indoor carpet racing. This will soon change. Platinum Hobbies & Raceway will open tentatively in mid-November. The store and Raceway will be located in the Brice Outlet Mall on the east side of Columbus. We started working on the track this week. Here is a link to some pictures of what we are working on.

wow that is a bad azz location INSIDE a mall!! think of the exposer to new racers . I cant even imagine the cost of rent on a place like that if it were here in so cal. Iam jealous

Yeah-before we got the gate-we were driving to Toledo every weekend and sometimes on Sat and back on Sunday-toll roads, icy freeway, up early and home late. Yuck!! Some of the better funded friends of mine wwould stay at a hotel, but I didnt have the budget to do that to practice.
Shame this nice facility wasn't around when I left the hobby. Still miss doing a little racing now and then. Maybe I'll get the chance to see many of you again when the racing starts.
