Default R/C Racing Much Harder Then It Looks

Your thoughts on this. I notice when people first hit the track it looks like their car is on drugs. I tell people it is harder then it looks, so go easy on the throttle. But most still think that their car's upgrades are gonna win it for them. Slow and steady wins the race. lol

Well, it's how YOU drive the car. It's not the car itself. But in reality, you need to become one with the car and really get in tune with it. Set up is "a" key in winning also. In order to win in my eyes, it takes time and focus. You can show up to a track and drop your car down BUT you really have to think to yourself, "is this car ready to win".. You, the driver, may be ready to win... But without proper care for your car, a warn/cracked plastic part may cost you the win. Upgrading parts every once in a while really does pay off. Also, cleaning and keeping your car up to par plays a big roll. You can't just neglect your car and expect to win.

Now- in my eyes what it takes for me personally to be ready to win is being calm, relaxed, and not tense. Sure, racing is stressful but when you are tense and stressed, you tend to get angry and lose focus which results into crashing. Being alert and awake as well. Listening to music is a great way to get in the zone because it blocks out everyone else, and you are focused on only yourself.
