Trophy Race Blue Diamond Park Sunday May 29

Hello all, still shaking the winter cobwebs off. Tons to do getting there slowly!

There will be a trophy race this weekend at The Blue Diamond.

Practice will be on Saturday 5/28 track will be prepped for practice.

Trophy Girls are in the house on Sunday!!

First Class 30$ Second Class 15$ Third and beyond 5$

Classes:

1/8 Fuel Open .21 motor, no weight or height rules. All efra/roar approved bodies legal, tire sauce is legal. (Yes we made changes to open the layout for 1/8 Fuel cars. We aren't done making changes yet but the current changes allow more on throttle racing for the bigger cars).

1/10 Fuel Open .12 3 port. 1725 weight limit in effect, width and height rules in effect. We will not be teching holes in the body, only weight width and height. Sauce is legal.

GT Open Rubber tires, no height weight rules. Rubber tires only. Electric and Nitro run together, electric mandatory pits during the mains.
(If there are enough electric we will separate)

1/10 Electric Open, no height weight motor rules, rubber tire only 2s (7.4) only no overvolting!!! .... don't want explosions. World GT cars will run in this class.

1/10 F1 Exhibition class. Semi-open, looking at 21.5 boost/turbo or 17.5 boost/turbo w/ foam tires, however we will run whatever people have. This class will be FREE as a second class, however there will be no trophies.

We will be running 1 (count ONE) spec electric class racer's choice: 13.5 blinky( this is racer's choice but remember BD has a long back straight if you all want to dial it up I'm good w/ 13.5 turbo =D). no overvolting!!! .... don't want explosions.

Racing starts at 11am on Sunday. 3 Quals and a main, break between 2nd and 3rd quals, break between 3rd qual and main. Please make it out on Sat to practice if you aren't at Jackson's trophy race.

I may be in Jackson, if I am the parts truck will be there Sat afternoon w/ tires and fuel. If I can't get my electric car together in time we will both be there on sat.

Another note, this will be a great warm up for the big race up in Brooklyn (TRI-STATE SHOOTOUT).

VHT/Soda is just sauce on the track instead of the tires take your pick ...

Real drivers run on un-preped parking lots w/ no soda ... those are REAL drivers hahaha.

In regards to electric/nitro GT running together. Will they be scored differently as a separate class like real GT racing? Nitro vs. Nitro, Electric vs. electric? That would be awesome!!

Yes they will be scored differently, but they will be on track at the same time.

We do soda, we are good at it. There is lot of grip, folks traction rolling last weekend. You can sauce if you want to or don't, your choice. It's an open class for the most part so do your thing if you think you are faster w/ just setup go for it, you think you need sauce go for it. I am doing my best to make sure you guys all have a great time either way. The folks that own/run the Blue Diamond will be doing the same so come on out, hang out with us on Memorial day and watch Torres get beat by me hahaha.

How long are the mains going to be?

Right now it is looking like 45 min A 20 min B 10 min lower.

Electric will have Triple A main format so 3x 6 minute mains best average w/ 1 drop is the winner. B and lower are standard format.

I will be confirming all this a little later today.
