Actually being on a run almost a lap faster than that Q3 and catching a flapper and ending up on my roof reminded me I still suck, lol.

That's Great news for LIR and LI. Good to see an open minded approach. It'll be nice to see some "off road" guys do some on road.

Mod touring that's going to be intersting on a parking lot track.
F1: cool looking cars that should be awesome out of the box on asphalt. (i have a tamiya f104 pro)

Do the foam tires wear out quick? If so we should run a spec rubber tire to make things cheap and easy for the f1class

Definitely rubber, foams would last about a day if they didn't chunk to shit after your first couple practice laps! Lol

rubber tires are the most versatile, foams can have more grip, but the track can't be dusty, they work well on sealed asphalt that is sprayed.

I think the Tamiya is going to be the way to go. Wish X-Ray made a F1.

With all the jets you've been flying, you should be able to dial in the aero on these cars.

We will blow of the surface and spray sugar water down each race day. Mod touring was always run back in the day at the Willis parking lot track and was a lot of fun. The word mod doesn't mean it has to be a 4.5 I think this is were people get into trouble. This class will be cool for guys that have older stuff and say run a 9.5 or 8.5 with25c. I'm sure it will be as fast as a 13.5 boosted with 80c, but thats why I think it will work. The track will have a top speed threshold, after that putting a faster motor etc.. will be counterproductive. This way many people can race the class, and they don't have to spend the money on the lastest stuff. After all motors are the cheapest part of the speed equation. Again we will run the classes that show the most interest.

Just run a non-ramping stock class to avoid the boost/battery wars...
Are you going to have a spec touring car tire?
