This is the first I have heard of anyone in California trying to ruin the Vegas race. We had a test and tune session this weekend and had enough (barely) to turn it into a race. 11 - 1/8 cars in expert, 9 - 1/8 cars in sportsman, 3 in 1/10 sedan, all the rest of the entrys were 1/5 scale (18).
Even though the economy is getting better. we still are not seeing the numbers generated in the past.
As far as the Moto race, we still have not 1 entry. This was a race date chosen by the sponsor and I think we all must keep in mind that onroad facilities for I.C. engine r/c car racing are fast dissappearing, As a race director as well as a racer, I must say that it's up to the organizations that put on the races to provide the best (user/customer) service that their envoirnment will allow. But it is also up to us as racers to help the programmers and programs run to the best of their ability, such as signing up on time, TURN MARSHALLING WITHOUT AN ATTITUDE, cooperating with the race format etc.
As a race coordinator, I welcome comments and suggestions but in a professional manner, not bashing on threads but if there is an issue that needs addressing and resoloution, send me an email, talk with me in private, most of the time, there is a way to settle things.
The bottom line is we all need to support each other, all of us have time and big $$$ invested in this hobby and weather or not we think someone is a Saint or an asshole, their investments and contributions in this industry is just as important to them as yours are to you, not trying to single out or defend anyone. Just thinking what's gonna happen when the tracks are gone?...food for thought!!

Racers make the races. Any of us that want racing around should support any racing that is available to us. We have just added 6 new racers to our GT class and plan to bring as many as possible to the next Vegas race in Oct. California races are a bit too far for most of us to make, but we try to get out of town to race whenever possible.

anyone have the race results from this race? I'd like to see what my lap times were like and where I finished in relation to the rest of the field.
