What's up gang?!
This weekend (Sat.) will be the "Challenge" or Championship race ( if, that's what you want to call it?) of the 1st session (1st half of the season). There will be one race for each class and award ceremony. After that, will be the "Sudden Death Race". Basically, a one qualifier & one main, opportunity, for the less fortunate from the "Challenge" to get redemption and anyone who didn't qualify for the "Challenge", to race.

Also, the track layout will have changed by the time the O.R.L. 2 race comes (Thank GOD!!! We've been racing on that same layout since last year's 2nd Session "Challenge" in October!). The layout changes twice a year (not nearly enough!), with the passing of each "Challenge" race. Come on out and check it out. Its usually a lot of fun to watch (there's a pace car for each Main!).

yup, tomorrow should be interesting. I dont think it will be the normal pace car with all the lights, it may be just a racers car.

For the track changing, paul may not do it knowing him. But we'll see. If he does, i am hoping he changes the materials too.

quinn- about how many amps should my motor be pulling for the "challenge"? Its only 7 mins now, and 1:30 of it is with the pace car.

I'm guessing your talking about the Brushless System you run... Well... It's a day too late, you've already run the Challenge and you realized you would've never made the 7+ mins. running a mod motor (anything lower than say a 19T) at any amp draw(within reason, of course). Sorry I got to your post too late.

Actually I broke my brushless a while ago and now run the standard motors. I personally ran a 12 triple and had just enough runtime for the 7 min race, and to get third place.

Wait a minute... what kind of 12x3 was that? You should've been a lot faster! Is it a machine-wound mod or hand-wound mod? Where was your timing set at? Were you pulling the trigger???

I know i wasnt that fast. Its a krypton 12 triple, from paridigm. The timing was set at 10, but for the sudden death i moved it up to about 15.

If you want to help me make it faster, I will surely let you

Either the motor needs to be cleaned up or you're not getting full throttle from your speedo. By the way, did you change your gearing at all? You should've.

Nah, not yet. I'm trying to get those flyweights. I can't seem to get my hands on any! They cost about $16.00, too! Go figure. I'm going to try something with the ones I currently have on the clutch. Wish me luck.
