Default 2010 Ipanema US GT Nationals September 3rd through 5th

To all members of the GT family:

To build upon the success of the Ipanema GT World Championship race held at the track in Homestead, FL back on March 19th through 21st, Ipanema, in conjunction with LeisureHours Hobbies, is sponsoring the US GT Nationals on September 3rd through 5th. Along with the GT1 Open class and GT2 Spec class, there was a new class added, GT3 electric. With some converting their GT cars to electric or those that don't like nitro and run electric, this class is for you. It was determined that not just the nitro racers should have all the fun. The rules for GT3 are the same as the GT1 Open rules with two exceptions:

1. Must have a LiPo sack for charging LiPo packs
2. 4-cell battery limit (no 5S or greater packs allowed)

So, lets get those cars ready for another event that should be off the chain.

Want to enjoy the racing experience that only a “GT Only” event has to offer you?

Ipanema Sports & Leisure Hours Raceway has teamed up to bring you the ultimate GT racing experience.

Just imagine three awesome days of GT racing at a world-class race track, indoor pit areas, clean facilities and nothing but GT racers; just like you!

Now imagine all the fun you’ll have, at our GT Only Festival of Speed, all weekend long!

ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

If you’re a GT racer or just want to see 1st hand what GT racing is really all about, please consider making plans to attend Leisure Hours Raceway, in Joliet Illinois on September 3rd, 4th & 5th.

You need to sign up through ROAR or you can sign up at the event. You can visit the website at www.roarracing.org.

This is not a ROAR-sponsored race, so, no membership is needed. This race is covered by another insurance policy that was taken care of by Ipanema. So, you can come and race to your heart's content. As far as how much the entry fee will be, that is TBA soon.

Ok here is the first and only warning for everyone, Yes I deleted the thread because many members just decided to bash the thread than stay on topic, some members got banned.

Leave this thread to the above topic and thats it. I will be checking this thread as much as I can and I will ban who ever decides to trash the thread.

No warnings it will be a 30 day suspension no questions asked.

I hope this will be my last post on this matter.

The other thread was deleted by a moderator due to all the bashing and negativity on the last few pages of that thread. Some of those postings got one member banned for 10 days from RC Tech. I was asked to start a new thread and the moderators will be watching. So, please keep your posts positive and if you have issues with other posters, either PM or personally email them. If not, short term suspensions of posting priviledges may be handed down from the moderators.

Not a problem Steve. Are you make plans to attend this race to observe?

Roar membership offers many valued benefits, but it is not required at the Leisure Hours event facility.

We from Mexico will go , we already have the plane tickets on hand

Luis Pineda
Francisco Alcala
Victor Babani

Working on the others racers that havenīt decided yet to go.

Now you can call your Race "Ineternational"
