Do they carry only Treadz? I'm not too keen on them. They seem to chunk more easily than Super G's.
I found a new brand I really like. Can't remember the name but they were selling them at Revelation week before last. Some Suisse brand. They are increadible. Great wear, strong grip and the set (including 30mm rears) was $30!
Phillip where do get those? Have you guys decided on the truer yet? I need to get hooked up with good foams for the Mugen also, the Fast Tires also seem to chunk very easily (cruddy glueing I think).
Get it from David( tell him I sent ya)....... www.outerdimenson.com I don't know if he has for the Mugen though....he typicall sells Picco and Novarossi parts. But he has UFRA touring tire foams only $15 for fronts 26mm and $18 for the 30mm rears.
Went to Hot Rod yesterday...Did a couple of laps on the track.......the track is easy and fun. My car was not up to par with the Associateds though......acceleration-wise. I was leaning the cr@p out of my trustee 'ol X12 but still I cannot catch these fast things in the zig-zag infield.......need to get a shaft driven car....Didn't stay much longer and just went home.....at least I know what I have to do next time I go there. Miss runing my 1/8.....got it all ready. Bought a new airbrush set too....the kind I use to have when I was in college (Architecture college days).....been very excited to try out that Alcad chrome paint.
It's good to know about the foams if we decide to start glueing them up ourselves... I'm thinking about getting a truer in the near future also, after having screwed up all my 1/8th tires. I think if I had a truer it might help a bit. I noticed some people taking 80 grit sand paper to them while they're on the car... .
Regarding the shaft/acceleration thing, I think I commented somewhere before that the NTC3 should be dialed for Rod's- no doubt about it.
People have been giving me negative stuff in mounting my own foams. They say its better to get professionally mounted foams than doing it yourself cost is just the same. You can only benefit from it in some instances like chunking the tires....see if you can salvage the foams by truing 'em.......thats it......but buying new rubbers and buying new rims is just a waist of time and effort......I don't know.....I'm still thinking about getting one thoguh.
Yea, the TreadZ are kind of funny, shore rating is all over the place... They have an New brand, its an off-brand name if I remember correctly, but its either Elligi or the other Big Name tire, sorry... I guess I'm just getting OLD... can't remember things
Steve at OFNA really likes them, at Crystal they grip really well, he was saying...

I was thinking more in terms of maintenance and glueing new foams to old wheels. If I get enough chunked tires I can use those possibly to repair other newer foams. Also, after looking at my last set of "profesionally glued" Fast Tires foams (which are about $30/rears and $22/fronts), I think I could at least do as well. Now that I've got three cars that run on foam tires (1/8th, nitro sedan, and pan car), it's getting to the point where I'm thinking seriously about it.
That is also the reason why I am looking up on cheap foam tire suppliers.....even if I had to order through mail......and buy bulk. Try Lee Muse for 1/10 foams he sells em '$12 per pair......Speedline-RC have cheap 1/8 foams for mugens too.

Yeah maybe we should tag-team on foams and buy a boat load.
Arnold, I heard it's pretty good, but the Hudy supposedly can precamber the tires. The Hudy is also mucho expensivo...
what have you been up to, Arnold? Haven't posted lately....how are your cars? whats up?
The OFNA is a very good tire truer.....it doesn't have pre camber ing though......you can pre camber the tires but you do it manually. Thinking of getting that too.....COBRA has one too.
