possible new onroad track at revalation

I'm surprised Dana would even entertain the thought of opening another road track. Is the off-road racing that bad?

I was talking to Dana last week and he was telling me about how in 2004 there was an Airtronics, O'Donnell, and Rd Logics race for off road. maybe he is going to make the onroad smaller and add another track to it for electrics. Either way I dont see the offroad track closing anytime soon because of the large following. If anything, an indoor track should be opened for electrics.

The offroad track is actually doing O.K. with the exception for this month.
I was just talking to Dana and he mentioned buying a $6,000.00 scrubber
for the onroad track which he currently rents to clean the track due to the
dirt from the offroad track and I jokingly told him to put asphalt on the offroad
track and make it electric track and his response is if he thinks it would work
and electric racers would actually show up if there was something like that
then he would seriously consider it. I got to explaning that enough electric
racers would cover the offroad attendance plus the nito sedan guys that
want to race that week don't have to go somewhere else to race when the
offroad race is going. So the plus side is maintenance costs would go down
on both tracks because he currenty has someone working on the offroad track 4hours a day just to get rid of ruts, water it down to keep dust at a minimum and on top of that the addl. scrubbing and Vht for the onroad track wich was not needed previously.

That would definetly bring down costs. The last time I was there, which was the middle of summer, it seemed liked there was someone constantly out on the offroad track watering it down. And the on-road track seemed to be constantly covered with dust.

Do you know if he would have monthly and yearly membership discounts like he does for his current tracks. That would be a big bonus for those that felt a little disgruntled about socal raising their rates.

Man, you mean there are tracks out there that spend time each day maintaining their offroad tracks?? :P

Not going to happen. At least in the near future. When Caltrans decide to build that overpass then MAYBE.
