what can you cut out of the sc body in mod class for 1/8 tires to clear? Can you cut the fender off or a hole in the top of the fender?

My son and I will be there Sunday. He runs the SC and I run the E-Buggy. The fenders on the SC are my concern as I was told they cant be cut even in mod. I just want to confirm this before I buy another body. I have the fenders completely cut off to clear 1/8 tires.

We want the truck to look like a short couse truck, if you have cut it into a baja body then you will have to run a differant body.
