Default Timing and Scoring?

Hi, I have a question Ive always been curious about. How exactly does radio controlled timing and scoring work? I know many tracks use transponders but what if someone manages to cut the track and the lap counter counts that car ahead? Just curious, thanks.

You will see their time is considerably shorter. If an average lap is 12 seconds, and they pull an 8 second lap, you get your answer.

You can set a breakout time in the computer. If normal fast laps are 12 seconds set the minimum at 11 seconds. Anything below 11 is not counted at all.

Additionally most programs allow race directors to penalize a driver. But yeah the best way to keep it from happening is to set the minimum lap time.
