The club members we're receptive to the Pro 10 class. Some voiced concern about the amount of racers we could accomodate and get all the qualifiers and mains in in the 3 day window. I'm still pushing to include the class. Hang tough for a few days and I 'll let you know what we've come up with. Do you think we could get 10 to 20 or so for Stock Pro 10?

At least 10; I'd guess 16-18ish total.

The 2001 ROAR Nationals at Speedworld took the full ROAR-alloted 250 entries and there was never an issue with time FWIW.

That event with the 250 racers. Was all qualifying fri and sat with the mains on sunday? Roar has assigned us the dates of July 16-18. We plan on having the track up for practice Mon thru thurs with the qualifying fri and sat ,mains on Sunday.

Quite literally, hours…but it’s a National; everyone going knows what they’re getting into.

I meant between each race it seems to me that you would have to get them going in two minutes or so.

Meeting again tomorrow to crunch the numbers .Bieng a gas club we were way too generous on time between races. Expect to see the pro 10 included in this years Nats.
Thanks for you input and patience.

Basically, you need to plan for 26-29heats assuming the race hit’s ROAR’s maximum of 250 total entries (some classes will have odd numbers of entries) at five minutes each for 20-22 of those, eight minutes for 5-9heats of 1/12th scale with two minutes between. With only two rounds a day, it’s easily doable. Sunday you have to account for AAA for however many classes you’re offering but still the total number of races will be less than Friday or Saturday.

Hi Racers,

I'm Dominic, RCSR treasurer/secretary and webguy. Site has been updated with as much info that we have at this moment. I've also established an email address [email protected] for all the questions regarding the Nats. Larry and Wes will be meeting with the hotel management tomorrow and hopefully we'll have more news regarding race site tomorrow.

If the demand is there, a Pro10 spec motor class would be a great fun class.

Watch for the site to be updated frequently with added info.

Dom

Yeah, that's what we've talked about - just go with whatever handout stock motors you wind up with for the other classes.

For what it's worth, I think it would be great to see a Pro 10 class back at a ROAR nats, even if it IS just an exhibition class.
