Motor won't matter in the Cup Racers if its like it was in Dayton. Traction rolling and breaking all over the place. Slower the better probably.

all depends on how you setup the car I think I got mine pretty good in the suspension category - and with the spring kits on the way, that should help eliminate some more of those tendancies..

But I do agree, the slow the motor the more these cars will shine...27t motors are gonna be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much grunt for these cars...17.5 and even the 30t motors will probably be best...

I'm even thinking about getting one of those Tamiya #53983 Lightly Tuned Motor 28T motors - that might be the good ticket for it

Oh boy, BackBreakers invading cup racer class. I've hear the rumor that Franzey is hiding a Cup Racer somewhere as well. If I can work enough hours at my local track I may put one together as well. Depending on my pay between now and the week before the race will detrermine weather I can get a cup racer of just set up my Cyclone for 2 classes instead.

I guess we (those that are going to run them) can agree on a motor like the silver can. Something along those lines. As long as everyone is in agreement.
Or in the sprit of competition, every man for himself.

I'm open for either ... I have no problem with Silver can motors - just as long as everyone agrees...

or I can go 'every man for himself'

If he does, he isnt admitting it yet...

The only reason Im running 27t brushed is because thats what I had laying around. Ill run anything but I'd rather not have to lay out more cash for a motor I may use once a year...

Anyone needing a set of new belted pro x-patterns for RCGT with black mesh wheels (unmounted), PM me.

hey andy - what's the ruling for tires in the EP RCGT class??

according to what's posted on the challenge rules, its the 4790's only - but I've heard different things where any X-Pattern tires are allowed?

but if you click on the 'rcgt' link, you see that all 3 'versions' of the x-patterns are allowed...Just not sure what's legal or not - don't wanna show up with the "D" compounds if everyone else is running the pro compounds

just trying to see what i really need before the August challenge

thanks!

For the club races, all comps are allowed. For the Challenge, i think he only wants it D's because of availability.

Not a bad idea bruddamanG....

If any racers coming to the NJ event have a Wife/GF/Daughter interested in a one race Powderpuff heat, let me know. We had a Powderpuff race at a previous event, and it totally ruLED.

This will be a "Run What Cha Brung" FREE race....
