Hmmm... Tempting, since we wouldn't have to swap motors to run both classes. I'll have to consider that option...

Great times in Dayton this weekend. Big thanks to HPI for allowing it to be hosted there again. Thank you so much Andy for helping to put these things together. It is such a great thing for HPI to do for the hobby and help get people interested.

As for double duty VTA/RCGT. I did it this weekend with a Pro4. You won't find a setup that will be ideal for both classes but you can get somewhere in-between that will be OK and you just gotta go easy. I ended up 1st in VTA and 2nd in RCGT with the same car just changing the tires/body.

Great time this weekend! Thank you Randy and crew for putting on a great/smooth program. The gift certificates, raffles, and free bodies were greatly appreciated by all of us.

There was one heat of the cup racers. They look just like real cars! It was fun watching them run!

Cup class was fun to watch. I think nearly every race most of the cars finished on 3 wheels.

As of now that is still my plan as well. Cheaper than buying a second car to set up in a second class, and I'm sure I can find a setup that will be close for both classes. Just hoping there's races in between RCGT and Vintage. Even though I can chnage tires and the body in under a minute I wouldn't mind having more time.

if we ask Ray nicely, I'm sure he'll work with us I'm sure it just won't be you and I running the same chassis in multiple classes

Default Which chassis to use for HPI Challenge?

Hi everyone,
I am new to the RCGT scene. I just got back into the hobby with a Slash and a cup racer. What is the best chassis to use for the HPI challenge?
I wanted to get a chassis that will also work for other venues here in SoCal.
I am interested in the RCGT and Vintage class.
Thanks in advance for your feedbacks.
