intercooler, painted mirrors with glass inserts, exhaust, tinted windows and numerous decals took first on the concourse at our first RCGT Showdown south not so well in the race but it sure came out nice lol

Alrighty, who's ready for some RCGT action!!!! Series #3 is coming, and yes... with permission from Chris Lim, I will be the commissioner for series #3. With series #3, we are looking to continue growing this segment of on-road racing, while providing more structure to the series and increase manufacture support. I'm currently working on the rules, schedule...etc. We should start having information posted on the website soon:

how has this class been doing in comparison to VTA?
Hard to say because the only club races that run VTA is Camarillo...
I can say this. RCGT was run at the 2009 Reedy Race of Champs. Our average RCGT classes has been at least 3(1 expert, 2 sportsman classes). On a big club race like teh showdown, we got about 7 heats at times. So, if RCGT is any indication of it's growth, i would say it is flourishing here in Southern Cal.

RCGT is awesome and it's definitely king of realistic racing in Socal. However the current generation of ESCs is making 17.5 pretty darn fast and it's only going to get faster. I don't think it'll be too long before 21.5 TC racing crops up again, whether it be RCGT lite (GTU???), VTA, or something else.
Until then, my 21.5 is going in the F1 car.
