Default Royal Rumble - The New School.

Ahhh, what is a home without hearing about the news of the characters of:

-MD, the elderly Dawson

***2005 Update - Beware, he is breeding! They will soon be everywhere. Kinda like Gremlins!
***2006 Update - After years and year of chasing the Rod Canare's and Corey Lewis' - he finally won the big race and got the golden ticket to Japan. Thanks to everyone for making 06 a memorable racing year. From KO to the Guiness event - a great racing year.

-BD, the younger Dawson

***2005 Update - Too young to know better, he is already track bound. Next walking and then driving. If he is old enough to stand, he is old enough to turn marshall!
***2006 Update - Got his first r/c car this year and loves chasing after the r/c heli after it crashes.

-Ken from Chicago and his only place on web that serves as his personal diary.

***2002 Update - Still living in Chi-Town and spending boat loads of cash on his real-scale rides.
***2003 Update - Still living in Chi-Town and spending boat loads of cash on his real-scale rides.
***2004 Update - Still living in Chi-Town
***2005 Update - Who knows??? I did a Google search on the guy and found some interesting things....
***2006 Update - Witness Protection

-Rto, Minis, Flyers and Pits days at tracks everywhere in southern California and how Rto again fell asleep after 3 minutes into the heat.

***2002 Update - RTO and Mini seemed to have divorced - Pit is doing the Texas two-step.
***2003 Update - RTO is now lasting 4:45, Flyer is now known as Thomas "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE". Pit - he's like pro guy now, flys in and flys out.
***2004 Update - RTO can now run a full 5 minutes, Flyer is somewhere?; Pit is doing the 2step.
***2005 Update - RTO has really moved into the 5 minute category, if RTO comes right at you with a 'muuuuuuuahhaahahaahaha' -it is not that he is laughing at you; he is looking to mate FLYER has flown the cage and Mini is going to go major for 2006. Mini gets out to the track every-so-often when he is not running the local Scout group.
***2006 Update - RTO has mellowed in his ways. Still the big laugh and best track side cheerleader. FLYER - he is back! Mini raced a few more times this year. Now that his son is old enough to pack his own pup tent perahps we will see more of him and the family at track this year.

-littleZEN
***2006 Update - Hitting the big 30 and plans on going out with a bang...I think I hear strippers

-Deves
***2006 Update - Main Car guy now at Ultimate Hobbies!

-Bgotori and how he cant AGAIN get out of the house because someone said NO. Sorry to hear about your gear BTW.

***2002 Update - MIA
***2003 Update - MIA
***2004 Update - MIA
***2005 Update - 4 years and no sign. Unless he makes a big comeback in '06 he gets no more love for the yearly update.
***2006 Update - No more love....the Yakuza got him...

-Booty and Crews rants on well, everything including Team Patis and Mr. Two Words.

***2002 Update - still ranting and still raving.
***2003 Paul D goes TRD. Carl is working for Xerox AGAIN. Itoh is still slinging Yok stuff.
***2004 Update - Paul D is TRD. Carl only runs his XB now. Itoh is coming out of retirement to mix it up trackside.
***2005 Update - Paul and Carl occasionally make a trip to the track. If they could stick a servo and speedo in their Xbs, they would be at the track more often. Itoh is the worldwide traveller, still making sure Yokomo stays on course.
***2006 Update - Dupe of last year. Paul and Carl occasionally make a trip to the track. If they could stick a servo and speedo in their Xbs, they would be at the track more often. Itoh is the worldwide traveller, still making sure Yokomo stays on course.

-CL, you should be a Factory Guy; you are just soooo fast.

***2002 Update - Chin is Chin
***2003 Update - Where is this guy?
***2004 Update - Where is this guy?
***2005 Update - Chin who????? He was a mail order groom as last heard!
***2006 Update - Chin sighting!!!! Saw the guy at Socal -claims he is planning a big comeback

-SPEEDTECH and "I got this for sale this week," postings.

***2002 Update - The Commish of the F1RL is born.
***2003 Update - SpeedTech R/C continues to grow. Now is Master of the Cuda.
***2004 Update - Steve has shed his masta of the Cuda and is now a TCS A Main Podium guy. SpeedTech R/C moves into its new home.
***2005 Update - Maxxtruck.com is born; next up, mini-Steve in '06. He made the main again at TCS in F1. Could '06 be his year???? You can find Steve at Revelation on Thursday running over kids' Tmaxxs with his TRUGGY! Might submit for early retirement from TC and concentrate on his offroad high-jump, dont case the truggy skills! This is the last guy I would have ever figured for a dirt kid. He is much too clean.
***2006 Update - Maxxtruck.com is retired, SpeedtechNitro is born. Steve got really dirty this year. He traded in his slicks for crimefighters. Better known now to monster mash buggies and clearing the quads -Steve found new life hitting the moguls at Revelation. A new store space and finally get Horizon on board. Oh, he was the force behind Dawsons run at the TCS Nationals.

-Charlie S, The Announcer and Race Promoter. We really know you would rather be driving.

***2002 Update - Living proof that you can be master mico mechanic and run your own races from your house and still put on good events. This kid has got to get outside more!
***2003 Update - We are all chipping in to get him a bigger pinion wrench! 2004 will be his Reedy year!
***2004 Update - The Kid WINS the REEDY RACE. Also gets a top 10 finish at the REEDY RACE ASIA.
***2005 Update - Team Novaks main guy. Team manager and guru of tech. Should make boatloads of cash after Novak goes IPO.
***2006 Update - Team Novaks main guy. Novak never went IPO. Instead, they donated tons of r/c gear to the needed in Norcal unwillingly. Good for CS that it wasnt his stuff.

-Wolf, The Cubs will never win the world series, but we like you anyway.

***2002 Update - MIA
***2003 Update - His tooter is broken. Leaves it up to his SD Crew to get the job done.
***2004 Update - Tooter long gone
***2005 Update - Tooter has lost the toot.
***2006 Update - Tooter has gone pooter.

-CoBroRa, Or shall we call them friendly neighborhood garden snake.

***2005 Update - T has had his best year of racing. This guy is getting better with every event. He will soon be pulling his brother around the track. Kev, is COBRAs' or little garden snakes, main mechanic. If he doesnt sabotage his brothers ride, he might not be able to keep up in '06. Kev is pushing the Group C stuff really hard; the question is, how long till everyone catches up.
***2006 Update - T - GET OVER IT. Kev has opened his on travelling tamiya shop. Known to have the rare parts trackside - he is often found supplying Dawsons runs at many big races including KO and TCS. Thanks Kev. Tigress is born, Kevins trackside team manager.

-TAOB, the tribe!

***2004 Update - Ian Aquino wins TCS Nats along with long time rival turned good friend Ling Kang Tong and fellow bud Neil R.

***2005 Update - Too many of them to count or name. TAOB was stealth in Q4 of '05 after the great "GREY MARKET AFFAIR". TAOB saw some of its members break rank and go outside of the Tamiya "Secret TCS Order". They spawned children in '05. Word is someone is getting possibly hitched but NOT til 2007.
***2006 Update - TAOB had some rough patches this year. Hopefully these guys will find a way to reconnect. That guy who was getting hitched has yet to even put a trailer ball his Tamiya ride.....

Jasper David gets hitched..... TAOB adopts CoBroRa...and form a big happy family with RRR.

-CB, no one has as much paint to sniff as this guy! Good he has it under lock and key! King of OCCircuit

***2005 Update - Charlie and family continue to run one of the longest running RC TC series anywhere. He will be known as the Grand Ol Man of RC Parking Lot Racing. Spent some time on the track this year. Look for a comeback. Be sure to check out his paint site. Soon to be the largest RC Painting site on the web.
***2006 Update - CB continues to bring racing to Socal after YEARS. Congrats CB.

-AE Tony, used to be known as TQ Tony until Don V started stealing some wins!

***2005 Update - He has his house, a dog, a front yard fence! What could be next>>>>>>>>>> Head promo and creative guy at AE. He hasnt found that one class he wants to focus on yet. Look for this guy to pull 6 different classes on a race day and ask race director for another round of qualifying. Word is, he is staging some huge game at the Dirt Oval world. But first, he will have to get a car, till then he is really going in circles!!!!!!
***2006 Update - HE IS GETTING MARRIED!

-Richard "I only fly with Orange flames" Smith, long time OC Racer. Working for that big F1 win

***2005 Update - Top finisher in the TCS Series in F201 and OC Regular. RS bleeds Orange. Look for RS to lay some hurt in '06 without a track cut!
***2006 Update - Top finisher in the TCS Series in F201 and OC Regular. RS bleeds Orange. Look for RS to lay some hurt in '07 - he doesnt cut the track anymore!!!!!!!

-Gibbous, long time OC Racer

***2005 Update - After many years away from RC, he is back. I remember him well from the California R/C days. He was one of the first guys to have website up for his r/c cars. Welcome back!
***2006 Update - Back and enjoying racing. Good to see a guy that I first asked, 'how fast do those things go" still race and enjoy it.

-Howard "Grand Old Man, Ol'Timer, Ol'School, DontCallMeGrumpy, IHatePinkBodies, TheEnforcer"

***2005 Update - Howard has been around longer than anyone, except for Gus and Ron Rossetti! Good for thought provoking threads and many laughs, Howard is always the frst guy at the track and last to leave. They usually say dont feed the old birds, but give this guy a pack of cigarettes and he is your buddy for life. He can usually be spotted under his blue tent and 2-part office chair. Often mistaken for the worst, he is an old dog with new dog tricks and big bark. He is almost part pussy cat. Howard is always a big help to the OC Circuit with track prep and keeping the young-ones in line. Little did I know he has a son. Look for his kid to take on more driving duites this year. H2 is big and bad, the Hummer site says it best, 'LIKE NOTHING ELSE'
***2006 Update - Relocated due to bitterness, Howard is now in some state starting with an I - hiding from his alter ego. Happy New Year Howard!

More Characters to be added later.

Welcome to the new Royal Rumble; named to remember our old home with THE MOST THREADS in RC Bulletin Board History.

Pit-

I made the A-Main in both Expert Mod and Expert Stock.

Exp Mod - I geared the 7x2 to high and the motor wires came off. The motor was so hot that the solder melted off of the tabs.

Exp Stock - Got railed by a guy to remain nameless, result, battery hold-down popped off. By the time my pit got it on, I was out.

Everything considered; it was a good second race for the xxxs. I had the chassis milled out to drop some weight. The car was exceptional.

I do have some submissions for the "Hacker of the Week".

Did you guys go out to Ultimate?

MD- I qualified for both A-mains also in sportsman stock and mod.

stock-I did an rto and brainfarted in the last lap of the main and lost out of an podium spot.

mod-I got hacked at the start of the race and at the second turn got t-boned so hard it knocked me out of the race.

all-in-all it was a good race day for RRR placing 4 racers in A-mains

It sure is quiet in here without the gang

Hey All

Sooo... What happened to RCTouring.com???

Thanks Mini. if it wasn't for your e-mail, I would have ever found out about this WebSite.

Bad thing, I was at Camarillo this weekend and meet some New guys, and gave them the RCTouring.com WebSite to contact me, and get ahold of ET(Steve) at SpeedTechRC... Oh Well... Hope I see them next time I go, they wanted to get some stuff.

Bgotori - That is being worked on. There is a modification that has to be added to the BB coding.

RCtouring was just shutdown, and we don't know a reason yet.
