Ha ha. Here is the great thing though. The engine ran like you wouldn't believe. It was one fine piece of art let me tell you. I would rather have part problems vs. Engine problems any day vof the week.

Hey Dave I am partial to the heat cycle method which is outlined by r/c car's Stephen Bess. It has been copied and reposted in the nitro offroad forum thread title break in bible. stick to the first post it has the info you need. I have used this method on many engines and I feel it is the best way to do it. it will help that engine last as long as possible. I use to think the wot method was the way to go but it is so rich that it cant burn the fuel fast enough and you put a HUGE stress on the rod as well as never gettint any heat into the sleeve to expand it properly.

you can call me if you have any questions or doubts its in a pm to you ...

danny, possibly donnie and myself are gonna do a little track maintenance friday around 3o'clock.danny gets off work around 4,but i'll probably start early.it will mainly be smoothing out things with a garden tractor.i finally built a scarifier for it.fwiw the oval ought to be pretty smooth for sure.

casey, what were the lengths to cut those springs?

Dave there is really no need to seal the Nova. Just put it in your car and start to heat cycle it. Just try to make sure that you get heat into it and it will be fine.

Dave I have never felt the need to seal a Novarossi engine. But if you feel the need there is nothing wrong in doing so. What pipes do you have for that baby? maybe a jp2 or 9886. I would lean towards something that is top end based.

Cool then I won't seal it, it's just a habit I got with new mills

Casey I read that 086 is the ticket I got the dynamite version

Mopar I got this nova because the Caster takes so long to break in and I want to race sooner
