Ok--
There will be a "spec" tire for stock and super stock. The details are being ironed out and should be finalized soon. You will be allowed 3 sets of front and rear tires for the event and one additional set if you make the AAA mains.
Stock will be any 27T ROAR legal motor (you choose as long as it is on the ROAR approved list) or any 17.5BL motor again on the ROAR approved list.
Super stock will be any 19T motor again on the ROAR approved list or any 10.5+ (meaning you can run 10.5, 11.5, 12.5, 13.5 .... ect.) BL motor in this class.
Lipo's approved by ROAR will be legal at this race for all classes as well.
Tires will be available at the track at a reduced cost to spec class racers. A decision of weather or not you have to buy them at the track or not is yet to be determined. If you do get to bring your own they will need to be in the original unopened package. Again still not finalized.
All this information and more will be available at www.hotrodhobbies.com very soon. As soon as I get "offical" word on the details I everything will be posted up soon!
Lastly. I tought for nationals you cannot run stock and mod at the same event. You can run stock and super stock OR super stock and mod but not stock and mod?

More info......
You can race stock and super stock or super stock and modified but you can not race stock and mod. This is the final word on this matter.
Due to lack of support juniors and masters will not be offered this year.
Although it does state, as Steve Butts stated, in rule 8.8.4.3 that stock and 17.5 will race together as well as 19T and 13.5, this is not correct. If you read further down in the rules you will see 12.4.6.3 states that for 2008 10.5 is as low as you can go for super stock (19T). In 2009 the rule will change and 13.5 and 19T will be the norm.
We are working on some fun activities to do around town during nats week so stay tuned.
It's time to focus on the nats warm up race otherwise known as the Hot Rod Hobbies Offroad Shootout which is less than 2 months away! The same classe will be offered at the Shootout to get things ready for the Nats. In addition to the Nats classes we have offered a Rookie class along with 1/10 2wd gas truck classes.
Check out www.hotrodhobbies.com for a Shootout flyer!

You can buy your tires anywhere. Here is the stipulation. They must be in the original bag WITH THE HEADER CARD STILL ATTACHED to go through tech. This is only required for tires used in the race.

If you make the AAA main event you be allowed one additional set of tires.
