Alright, so might still end up with 3 full heats come series time, that's good.
Now I just need to figure out when I'm going to be home so I can get my car dialed in again before racing.
Is there a new layout in the works, anybody heard? Or staying with the pure road course theme?
They want to keep it oval friendly but I don't see the point at this time. I haven't seen any interest in oval in awhile. The layout will definitely change before the series starts. If you've got an idea, give it to Randy at the shop. He'll be doing the layout.

Booster is accounted for, the battery pack is still available. I'll go $15 for it if anyone is interested. Also, I've got four WGT bodies for sale if anyone is interested: Protoform LMP, used but, still usable, painted white $8 - Protoform Sophia, painted white and mounted but, never used $10 - McAllister Raven, Painted black, mounted and used one day $10 - McAllister Ferrari 599 GTB, new unpainted, unmounted $12.
I'll bring them this Saturday so that anyone interested can see them.
Later
Tim
Oh yeah, the track needs to change, it's crap.
I really liked the original layout, Can we get it similar?
That's what I'd like to see this year, some fast reducing and expanding sweepers with a long straight, a couple switchbacks and 1 almost 180 for good measure.
The track wasn't completely like this, because of the line being under the carpet, I had to change it a bit. Anyway, with a layout like this, there is only one barrier that can get hit and move around (instead of a bunch of 180s getting hit every lap), the straight is on the back (where it belongs), the big bump in the track in front of the driver's stand is taken out of the equation, and it's flowing.

Do we have enough track to still do this?
Any ideas?
You know I love ya Tim, but that would get old very quick. There was a design very similar to that but had an extra switchback in the middle. I like the short finish to the sweeper and the double carousel prior to the initial sweeper. I know there's enough pipe for that. And you know that I can lay some pipe.

That track is basically the same as the original except at the far left there was a switchback before you got back on the straight. I omitted that because the transponder line is in that corner. The track obviously wouldn't have to be exactly like that, it's just a starting point/idea.
I guess we could always stick with the crazy 180s at every corner where turn marshals are having to fix the track every lap. Or keep the straight on the front so that people are sticking their heads out, blocking other drivers so that they may see their car, or having to try to drive around the insane bump in the front of the drivers stand.
It can't be any more "old" than the current layout and I've only practiced on that layout.
Let's see some ideas, not leave it up to someone else and then end up being pissed at how it turned out.
I like it just because Tim doesn't. Not YOU Tim, the other Tim.
I agree that the straight should be on the back again. I can't stand looking around radios and heads at full speed into a sweeper. I do like the chicane into the straight though. Maybe we can get the flappers back on the end of the boards. They helped out alot.
