2007 Battle @ The Bowl

Entry fee - $25 first class, $15 each additional class

3 rounds of qualifying, resort after 2nd round
5 minute qualifiers with IFMAR start
20 minute Pro Nitro A Main, 10 minute B Main, 5 minute all lower mains
10 minute Sportsman Nitro A Main, 5 minute all lower mains

Schedule:
Friday, July 20, 2007 – open practice 12PM to 10PM
Saturday, July 21, 2007 – open practice 6AM to 11:15AM
Saturday, July 21, 2007 – Drivers Meeting 11:30AM
Saturday, July 21, 2007 – Qualifying 12:15PM – rounds 1 & 2 no break, 30 minute break between 2nd & 3rd round, 30 minute break between 3rd round and mains

Classes:

Brushless Stock (Novak SS13.5 systems) - other 13.5 systems will be allowed if released prior to the race
Pro Stock
Pro 19T
Open Modified (must have at least 5 entries / BL systems are legal)
Sportsman Nitro (non sponsored drivers)
Pro Nitro

Please note – the exception to the sportsman class is racers sponsored by hobby shops only.

Awards:
TQ
Fast Lap (electric & nitro)
1-10 A Mains
1-3 Lower Mains

Rules:

General ROAR rules apply – weight, ride height, bodies, motor, engines, etc.
All electric classes will use spec handout tire (RP30) – 3 set limit per class
Stock CO27 Spec – any manufacturer / tuner
19T motors must be locked timing – Trinity KD, Checkpoint Money, Reedy Quad, Orion / Peak V2, etc.
Pro Nitro - .12 ROAR legal engines - ROAR rule #9.3.5
Sportsman Nitro – any .12, .15, or other RTR type engine

I want to thank everyone for their interest in this race. It's shaping up to be one of the premier asphalt races in region 2 this summer.

I just did mapquest and chassie clearance test.. Yes I can get 6mm and looks to be 540 miles so..lets see 5 1/2 hrs without traffic....

Andy,
It would make for a more enjoyable racing experience, if , you would eliminate the crater that's normally included in the layout. ALL of the cars would definitely benefit from this, especially, the nitro cars having to run extended mains.
