Mushroombowl Speedway - Kennett Square, PA

I wanted to start a thread for the Mushroombowl Speedway, located in beautiful Kennett Square, PA. The Mushroombowl is one of the oldest RC facilities in PA, and one of the best permanent asphalt tracks in ROAR Region 2.

We will be opening up the asphalt track for racing 5/13/6. The track has been resurfaced for this year, so traction will not be a issue.

Racing begins at 5PM under the lights. We will race three rounds of qualifying, and 5 minute mains for all classes:

Stock Touring - ROAR legal stock motors, rubber tires
19T Touring - any locked timing 19T, rubber tires
Nitro Touring - any roar legal .12, open tires
Mod Touring - bring what you got

Minimum of four entries per class.

Oval racers are always welcome as well. The road course will be easily moved to allow for oval races / practice during race day. We plan on running practice in 1/2 hour intervals for road course and oval.

Racing is $12 per class.

The Mushroombowl has two separate pit areas (50+ spaces) with benches, chairs, and AC power; well stocked hobby shop, and a great group of local racers.

Can't wait. I always had a good time here. It's been a while since I have been able to run at the bowl. Which nite is racing? Sat?

Yes, racing is Saturday night, weather permitting.

I'm planning on being their. Have a wedding on the 16th to go. WHew at least it wasn't on race day.

Speedy will be there to sweep up Stock Touring as usual! Be prepared come late early June/late July. I'll give you time to perpare.

I know I will be there and I have 3 maybe's that wont know until later in the week....Fred, Ivy, and Jeff Jones. hmmm maybe Jeff can get Troy too. Whats the class to run there?

will also be there. Mandio and Alderson will be there, Scooby and Little B are planning on coming, and Larry might also make the trip down this week.

19T is the class to race. The new layout is very fast.

Im for 19 turn but I will run what ever, as long as its rubbers

WYD, you know you want to head on down here. you already have tons of R&D from Frederick....come get some from the Bowl

Besides the C can always be the Rainy day back up plan
