New On Road Track In Coral Springs, FL
70' x 140' of fresh virgin asphalt. Grand opening was last week Sunday. Also check http://www.csrcroadrunners.com for info on the club. For those of you who have been to the Road Runners off road track before, now we have the best of both worlds....

Man, someone needs to come down here to Phoenix and make a track half as good as that...

We would like to get as much local support as we can. So if any of you guys know anybody in the South Florida area, please let them know. Also, for those of you in Florida and race with FSEARA, this track is going to be on the 2003 schedule. Not sure what race yet. So if you want practice on the track and you are going to be in the area. There is practice on Saturday and races on Sunday. Thanks...

What did you guys use to keep the PVC pipe in place?? I run the races at my local track and I was thinking of replacing the wood 4x8s' we use with PVC piping.

Sponger:
We used pieces of rebar inside some sections of the track. Plow discs at the ends and concrete planter edging behind at the ends also. The track is pretty stable but nothing is permanent, we can change the layout at any time.
rcdougie:
We have the latest AMB system that uses personal transponders and we also have 20 rechargable ones. I suggest that you come down and check it out.

Is it true that this road course is electric only??
#15
No. Right now, the majority of the people who race there are electric. Last Sunday we had a nitro class with about 7 people. We can only run 1/10th nitro sedans though. ROAR rules state that if you race any larger than 1/10th there needs to be a 18" high wall around the perimeter of the track. You must be a ROAR member to race there because of liability reasons. Nitro racers are very welcome and we hope to see all 1/10th and 1/12th racers there, nitro or electric. Now that you said that, I am going to post something on the Nitro forum. Thanks.
