I don't really have a problem with the sidebar.

My request is to add some kind of indicator icon or text to show that the user is online.

If I made the side open and close, it would defeat the purpose. Such are the realities of trying to generate enough income to keep the site going... if you guys saw my server bill, you would cry!

DOMOisCOOL: Ah! I keep forgetting to do that. That will be next on the list, I promise.

What about listing who's looking at the thread/page at the top of the page instead of the bottom? Otherwise the upgrades are totally worth it and even this little gripe is teeny. Keep it up!

I like the "ignore posts from X" feature, but would it be possible to make ignored posts less obtrusive? As it stands, an ignored post includes the RCTech banner, four buttons, etc. One line seems like plenty for an ignored post.

Yikes, that's a mistake. Obviously I never tested that one. It's a tempalte problem that I thought I had fixed everywhere but I guess I never thought to check the ignore area.

I will add it to the fix-it list for the next update.

Thumbs up

Your doing a great job, I really enjoy this site. I do miss seeing "on-line" next to someones name in the posts tho, but that certainly isn't going to keep me away!

Futureal,

Would there be any way you could add a Thread Title Editor?

Cheers

Default "Printable Version"

I have been using handheld devices to read RCtech through WiFi. In particular, I use the Palm Tungsten C. I also have a Sony Playstation Portable, which I might also use to read the forums. I was using the "Printable Version" in the old software and it worked well. I just found it again in the new version. It is currently accessed through a Java dropdown menu. I am not sure I will be able to access it on some handheld devices. Also, it is not very obvious. Could you give it a regular icon tag?

This is because the Text/Font Size option in your browser is set to something larger than normal (likely because of your massive screen resolution). That overrides most formatting controls and leads to situations like that, unfortunately.

The thread title is disabled along with the edit after a certain period of time, I will think about that and see what I can do.

For mobile stuff, I will see if I can add that link. For a printable version, you can always just point your browser to printhread.php instead of showthread.php, keeping the "&t=#####" part the same, and it will go to a printable version.

Is there an RSS feed available for the forums?
