Just wondering

I am happy to report that I have the new version of the software up and running with no problems on my test forum, WITH the new style complete. I just have a few tweaks to make and it will be ready.

I expect the upgrade to take place next week some time.

As for other stuff like the arcade, it will follow...

Oh goody

I set up an arcade on my forum and its great even with the small number of members we have. Its SO competitive which is great on a forum like this. We are competitive people

I noticed that the forum seems alot faster recently, have you changed to another server?

I optimized some of the queries that were taking up a lot of processing power and the result was a much faster board.

It should be even better with the new software running.

I am curious as to what kind of arcade Invision is using now, as their original hack was a modified version of something I wrote for vBulletin.

Its called IBProArcade

But its not an official invision product. 3rd party.

Here is the main forum for it, it does not have an actual site

http://www.ibproarcade.com/

you can see it in action here.... but you would need to be registered..

Well, good job sorting those queries out i noticed a huge difference.

Hmm... since mine was originally called vbProArcade, I wonder how much of the code is mine? haha

I stopped developing it last year and somebody else released an arcade for vBulletin, but I did nearly complete a rewrite of it for vB3. It will make an appearance on R/C Tech at some point, but this time we will be the only place on the net running it. And it's a lot better than the competition.

I like the arcade i am using at the minute but there is masses of room for improvement.

I will look forward to seeing the new software up and running, and the arcade sometime in the future... I want to see plenty of racing games
