Clear the cache, clear the cookies, install newest version, reinstall current version?
Has it always been that way?

Hmm. I use IE, though I have used FF on others' PC's.
There is a chance that it is the ********* seeing the buttons as a pop-up. Try turning the blocker off(the mods will tell you you should do that anyway, as the ads are the main source of income here).
Personally, the ads don't bother me, and it's funny to see what they will be each time, since they are contextual. I've seen ads for mountain bike parts, PC parts, clothes for both sexes, and some things we shouldn't talk about here.
Really, you should click on one here and there, rctech gets a little cash when you do.

If you look in the top right of the firefox window under the x, you will a stop sign with ABP. If it's red than that means it's enabled. If you're having issues with ABP then right click the stop sign and click, "disable on rctech.net". I'm on firefox and have not had a problem so far.

I have had no such problems with firefox and *********. I have had a similar problem on another site though. On those occasions I just used a different browser for a day or two and it eventually fixed itself. They did just come out with an update today. Maybe that will fix it.

You can pretty much blame Bill Gates (well him and Ronald Reagan (see how I did that?)) for all your problems. He is solely responsible for:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embrace...and_extinguish
Which allowed all the different HTML "standards". Will HTML5 save us? Who knows. What I do know is that Bill Gates is going to hell for:
1. Stealing and reselling a virus to make profit.
2. Conspiracy to screw the world over under the guise of a unified OS.
3. Not stopping to reconsider his goals in life when he achieved $1,000,000,000 net worth and kept going.
His only possible avenue for redemption is to stop this too little too late "humanitarian" effort and do everything in his power to clean up the virus he left in his wake.
