Default What happened to Google ads??

I just logged on today and the typical, very relevant, google ads are gone, now they are "clicksor' and almost all are for sports betting. Also now there are pop-ups when I click on forums. Is it just me?

Afraid its just you. Your post had a google add under it......

Your PC has 'caught' something you need to get rid of, malware, virus etc.

Yea guys it deff my pc. I am at work now, and it's back to Google ads. Damnit, this is all from Chronixradio.com. It's weird I used it all the time at work for streaming metal, but the one day I tried at home it popped up Windows media player and didn't work right.

Well, after running about 7 different anti-bad ware programs, nothing was found or fixed. So I ended up getting firefox and the noscript add-on, so things are back to normal, although I feel this is just a band-aid. It was not easy getting software either. Any download site was non existant, even though they were there in the search results. And some just redirected me to StopZilla'a website, so I left them a nice little thank you note

If anyone knows a way besides reformatting to fix this please let me know.

Man, thats unfortunte that all that couldn't find anything.....I'd be worried like you that something else was lurking on my PC. I've had a nasty virus that NAV saw it told me about it, but it had changed its name and already hidden itself. That cost me a reformat. I invested in a copy of ghost and made images of all my PCs. Whenever I have any kind of prob that I can't get rid of, I do a restore and I'm back.

One of my PC probs was something that rode in on a WM update......

I hate the scumbags that write this stuff and anyone that knowingly spreads it around!!

I get NO ads and love it. Throw IE out the door. Firefox with ********* is magic.
