There are plenty of threads on racing in NJ in the Racing forum, including the South Jersey Cost Controlled Racing (SJCCR), Jackson RC, Vineland (that might be in the off road forum), and Horsham which is just across the river in PA. Plus other threads on places within shouting distance of NJ, including 301 Raceway (Maryland), Blue Diamond (Delaware), and several on the tracks in Connecticut. And I can't forget to mention the Long Island Raceway thread.
Do a little searching and you will find what you're looking for.

Dirt Runners RC Car Club (www.dirtrunners.com) has races outdoors from end of April to October, about every other Sunday. The track is in Jefferson NJ, about 15 miles off Exit 34 of Interstate-80. It is a club track and because we get a lot of entries (100->130 each day) and the limitations of "burning daylight", we only run one qualifier and a main. Entry fee is cheap if you are a club member ($8 first/$6 additional) and club dues are only $20. We run dirt oval and off-road classes. Here's a pic of the track taken from a model airplane flying above it:
