Singapore Racers
#31
Hallo C,
it's been sometime, wrapped up with work....
well, yesterday (Sunday) we have a 1/10 stock race by Tamiya.
I used my bro's TAO3FS/TRF, very difficult to steer.
For the front wheel drive, it tends to oversteer when do fast
cornering. The track was made of bricks (con blocks-we call them)
and was pretty bumpy. I didn't bring many tires and couldn't adjust
the dampers, arrgh...so at the end I didn't do well.
Anyway, is there something wrong with yr rclab7 ? DOn't you have LHS nearby or something?
RS4 is definitely better overall and for future reasons, more parts variety available and so on.
Singapore is at the end of Malaysian Peninsula; a small island nation.
At the south and west we have Indonesia, east would be the South China
sea and East Malaysia.
I'm not really a fan for F1, but I follow news once a while.
I heard that watching live was very loud...don't know if can also follow
the whole race like in TV, cause normally you'll sit at one place.
Looks cool though, and look forward to the story and links.

Rc Lab cars are kinda of boutique cars. Meaning, you can't get them at every hobby store. Just like you can't buy high end Mtn Bikes or Road Bikes at every bike shops.
I have to order the parts on line, but that is fine, I think that I get my parts at a better price that I would have been able to locally anyway.
Just recently I received my parts, and in the last couple of days I fixed the car. I have no one to race with in Portland. There are no touring car tracks around here. There is a track in the neighboring states of Washington, but it doesn't open for two months.
That is why I am really looking forward to getting these Mini-Zs, so that I can get a little "little" racing in.

Here is a photo of the Mini-Z cars that I was telling you about
Here is the ad from E-bay--Two Kyosho Mini-Z R/C racers (Black Subaru WRX and Red Nissan Skyline) with original boxes, custom carry case, 8 excellent NIMh Batteries(the good ones), charger, spare gears, spare tires, etc.. This has everything you need for you and a friend to start having fun! Although used, they function perfectly, and still look very nice. I am an expert slot car builder, and have polished the working parts, and have set up the front suspension and rear differential for proper damping/limited-slip function. If you intend to full-out race these, you will probably want to add the rear damper, and a hotter motor, Otherwise, the work is all done for you. They're quite fast as they are. If you are just going to be a casual user, don't worry, these are not excessively modified and definitely not "worn out"- they are smooth, tight, and sweet. I'm sure you will like them.
They should be arriving really soon. I am going to be using them with my youth group to help get some of the Jr. High and High School guys showing up early for youth group.

Micro
Hi C,
Looks good the miniZs. Just got my Micro the other week,
wow it's so slow I had to change battery from 6 to 7.2 .
Now with separated supply for the servo, even faster.
Post the pic next time, Hope you have great time with the
youngins.
Happy Easter from down here, cheers.
