Lupin. May I suggest some tips. I'm guessing you're following the car and pressing the shutter release all in one motion. Next time you shoot, try half-pressing the shutter to focus on a certain area where you expect the car to be. Then pan backwards to an area a few seconds before that specific area, holding the shutter half pressed the entire time. Follow the car to that spot and once it gets there, fully press the shutter.
Toy, Awesome pics Too bad I can't grab the exif data. Care to share your equipment and camera setting? Thx

Thank You
Lidz- Yes, I'm currently shooting with the kit 18-55 lens. It does require me to get a lil cozy and I have gotten run into a few times.

Nothing better than a picture that makes you feel as if your right there. Nice job.
I tried doing the photobucket thing a while back. Maybe I can figure it out.

Got it! Now I need to ask myself, why I didn't do this ealier. Picked up a Nikon D90......it's going to be a busy week learning this thing. I'll be at RCE too, not racing, which is what I wanted to do, but taking pics.

You should see four different options.
1) Email and IM
2) Direct Link
3) HTML Code
4) IMG Code
For this and most other forums, you want to copy/paste the IMG Code. If you post on the SGrid, use HTML Code, then select Lazy HTML from the drop down menu next to the Spell Check button.

Regarding the pics I recently posted. Obviously a slight glitch as some were posted twice. Oops!
The last three were taken yesterday which was a very bright, sunny day, vs the ones before them were from last week which was heavy overcast. This is why the "darker" appearance" makes them look a little different. I love shooting when it's overcast, lol. I still havn't figured out how to get what I really want when it's bright n sunny. Though I suspect using a lens hood would probably help.

These were taken between quals. Still need some practice , but by weeks end, should have a better idea on what to do.

my camera is not near as quality and it really shows!

First time trying to get RC action picks, these are much harder to get than MX and desert racing that I've done in the past.
The fading light didn't help, as the only races we had before it started getting a bit dark were the novice and spec race. I race spec, and the novice races were a bit less than exciting from a picture standpoint.
What do you guys think, Using a Nikon D80 with a 55-200 lens

I'm using a Nikon D80 with a 55-200 lens, but you can use any camera, just know the more it costs the more consistently you will get good results.
some video from the new track today, gonna run practice with the setup tonight, what do you guys think?
