I'm not sure how bug those are. You have any interest in a 1/12th touring car: Yokomo MR4 TC Mini?

Yes, 12 scale is the right idea. Will that yokomo fit a 2s Lipo (shorty maybe)?

I can't say for sure. I don't own a shortly LiPo. I think it will fit if you remove the battery posts and use tape.
