Default Need Motor for B4.1

Hi,

I have a B4.1 Brushless RTR. It was ran through water and now the motor doesn't work so well.

My sons and I are new to this, and I assume the motor needs to be replaced now.

The ESC is SC450-BL.

I am looking for a new or slightly used motor or motor/ESC combo. Anything to speed it up would be great. We use 2S LiPo batteries.

I will pay via paypal and my zip code is 85629 for shipping.

Thanks!

Are you sure you didn't fry the esc? That esc isn't waterproof. The way to check the motor would be to direct wire it to the lipo pack. If it starts, then it's not the motor.

I'm not sure, but the ESC does turn on. The motor will spin sometimes but it chugs usually, if I spin it then it will go fine.

I tried what you said and the motor made some cracking sounds then got really hot, it didn't spin.

If I need to buy a combo that's cool, even to buy a combo and a used motor for my ESC isn't a big deal.

You cannot apply direct battery power like that to a brushless . If it wasn't bad which it sounds like it was , it is now.
I have a dynamite fuze 3300kv you could have for $30 shipped. I also have a castle 5700kv you could have for $40 shipped . The 5700 would be alot of motor for that truck though. Let me know.

hotrod, I'll take the 3300kv.

PM me your paypal info and we will work on the details. If it doesn't work I will replace the ESC also.

Thanks.

I would agree in a sensored setup but this is a sensorless motor. I test my motors this way without issue.
