I have a feeling even Futaba does not know absolutely for sure what modules will work in the 3UCP.
A while back I sent an email to Futaba USA tech support asking what module is recommended and they said only the TP should be used.

A few days ago I asked on the Futaba forum at rcuniverse if the TK module would work and got a reply that it would work fine and not cause long-term failure. The link from the reply was about the 7U, 8U, and 9C with no mention of the 3UCP, but I guess it belongs to the same general family as those transmitters. I asked a follow-up question to see if PCM mode would be available with the TK, so we'll see.

Kai, it is very nice of you to offer to send a PK to test. I actually have a PK module in another radio (an old 3PK) that I got in a package deal but I didn't ask Futaba if the PK would work. (stupid me)

Futaba makes too many modules and doesn't explain the differences between them for the customer to make in informed decision.

The bottom line is: I'm not in a rush to get a module. I still have model memory free in the other transmitters, so I'll keep looking for a TP. One is bound to pop up eventually.

Actually, I bought a brand new 72MHz TP module and I will be sending it in to Futaba for 75MHz conversion.

Why didn't I think of that before?

If this works, I'll be very happy since the 72MHz TPs are easy to come by.

Let us know how it turned out, I'll be sending out mine too for conversion.

I received the converted FP-TP-FM module today from Futaba and it works great! Converted from CH33 to CH89. The 3UCP works fine with it.
