Default WTB:1/8 motor for MRC ZRT-1 Truggy

Nothing fancy, just needs to have banana plugs to plug into the wires coming from the esc and be in the 2100kv range.

Thanks,
Chris

Sheck Tacons on Hobbypartz. The green 3650s are great. They have 3674's for $48 Free Shipping

Thank you for the suggestion,I'll keep them in mind. The cheapest motor for 1/8 applications was $59 though, not bad still. Are the threads generally the same distance apart on motors?I wonder if they would fit using the stock motor mounts on the ZRT-1?

Yea, the mounting hols are all generally the same. It will mount right up. Theres also these http://www.hobbypartz.com/ho36brmow23k.html
Ive ran this motor in my E Maxx and was very happy with it. Geared 18/65 on 4s it stayed cool and reached close to 40mph. Honestly for $43 shipped you cant beat it.

Cool, thanks! That's not a bad deal at all. While doing some research it seems the Tacon might be a little better than the Hobbywing, but either of those motors should do the job.

Actually the Tacon motors may be a bit too long. The Hobbywing is the exact length of the stock motor.I wonder if I'll need a new pinion gear? From what I have read when the ZRT-1's came out they used a 6mm shaft, but they changed it to a 5mm shaft later.I guess I'll have to measure the shaft on the stock motor.Oh,does the Hobbywing have the wires with the banana plugs on them so all I'll have to do is connect it to the esc wires?

Yea, they have male plugs already soldered on and ready to go. They also include female plugs and shrink wrap so you'll be ready to go. The Tacons are basicly the same quality. There all just basic budget 2 pole chinese motors. Nothin great, but not junk. You really cant go wrong for $40 and you'll have it in a few days frpm Cali.
