Default WTB JP-3 Hardcoated!

Gang, I know this post belongs in the other forum but this thread gets so much eye traffic that I can't NOT post it here as well.

For anyone that has a nice JP-3 sitting in the pitbox taking up space, I'm your man as I need one for my new mill. Please pm with what you have, and of course a picture would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Hey Knucklehead,

Mike just won a brand new one and is looking for a better pipe for his Speed (you're rubbing off on him). Trade him your 2050 for his new JP-3. Both parties happy

Nah, mine's the polished one....Chad's picky, gotta have that hard coat. I think his 2050 flew the coop anyway....he didn't need a pipe on those nuclear flashlights he's been building!

I'm going to stick with the JP3, and try to pick up Velucci's 2050. I'll keep whichever one works best on our track.

Stubby is good to go with that pipe and after doing some searching the 2050 is gonna do just fine on my new toy.... For the Werks I'm gonna play around with a few different selections namely a JP-1 and 3.

Chad I have a few pipes if you want to experiment as well. I have a Jp-3, JP-4, OFNA 053, and a Dynamite 086 (I think?).

I'm going to try the OFNA Pipe on my Nova Plus 28-7 to see how it goes...the rest are just sitting here at the moment. So you are welcome to test n tune...

Thank you Scott...you're aces in my book. I've got the following pipes and motors I am going to play around with this weekend:

Motors:
Werks TL B7 Pro
GRP Tuned .21
OS .28 XZ

Pipes:
OS 2050
OS 2060 SC
JP-1 and 2 for now
GRP 2053

I ran both the 2050 and JP-3 (borrowed from Steve Dunn) and there was quite a difference. The 2050 was very smooth but the motor would not top out until I was almost at the end of the straight away. When I went to the JP-3 I was topping out midway down the straight and my temps went up quite a bit, from around 180 to around 240 on the same tune. I readjusted my carb settings to run the 3 and got roughly 8.5 minutes per tank during the main and the final temps were in the 185-190 range. That was really the first time I had played around with pipes and WOW what a difference it made.

I am really looking forward to trying out my new OS .28 with the JP3 on it. I don't want to run my nice OS pipes for club racing, hence the reason I am picking up used JP pipes. Thanks again Scott for the offer.

I have yet to do any pipe tuning, but I have been struggling with worn out motors all season. The Nova has a fresh pinch on it....so I may start pipe swapping now to see what works and what doesn't.

Derek was running a JP-4 on it, but I just put on the JP-3 so we'll see how that one goes hopefully tomorrow night.

I may even bring the eBuggy to play around....only running it on a 2s at the moment though, and it seems to be a handful....not sure I want a 4s in it! haha

It I get to go it will in early and out early as I have to pick up the little man from the sitter's house.

I've got my Ebuggy all bolted back together and the new Tekin ESC and Tekin 1700kv motor are installed. I am going to be running 5s on that bad boy as that seems to be the sweet spot at roughly 31,450 rpms. My final drive ratio is 11.31 assuming a 14 tooth clutch bell. I'll start there and work up or down depending performance and temps on the ESC and motor. Your gonna love it!
