Default WTB AMB RC lapcounting system

Want to buy AMB lapcounting system for an upcoming indoor off road facility. I will need the AMBrc 20 system or the new AMB rc system, loop, decoder, software, the full package to where all I wil need is to plug it up and go. MUST Work with personal transponders.

Please PM through RCtech to get in touch with me if you have such a system or know of a track that is going out of business that I can contract to get their system. Thanks for reading.

Bumping this.
I've received a quote from AMB for $3200 for everything I need, I will entertain used systems that are less than this price or I will just get a new system come October when the track (an indoor offroad and onroad facility in North Georgia) will open.

If AMB gave you that price, I would jump ALL over it!!!!! I wouldn't even look at a used system!! The decoder is about $3000, and the COAX and loop is about $170... then with shipping... you're right there.

Then if you want house TP's, the rack is about $600, and the TP's are $135ea x 20 = $2700.

So you are getting it for half price. Then if they are giving you software too??? No need to look at anything used!

The price I got was for the decoder and loop shipped. No additional transponders. That is why I'm looking to see if I can get a used one cheaper, if not I will just get a brand new one.

tinasam,

As ED pointed out, the price for just the decoder will leave you SHORT by quite a bit if you are looking for a TURN KEY system.

Be careful also looking into the NEW AMBrc3 systems. They use the TCP/IP type cabling (The original AMBrc system uses a RS232 cable, or USB*) When using the USB you must ALSO have the proper drivers set up.

YOU Still need a Scoring Program.

Here's the pricing for the AUTOSCORE Scoring Program

Then you have to decide "Do I supply transponders" or "Do I make the NEW racers have to spend the $100.00+ bucks on one themselves."

When I priced EVERYTHING Brand New for a club in this area a while back...

We went with a NEW Decoder, NEW Loop, NEW Charging Rack, 10 NEW Rechargable Transponders, a NEW Lap Top, a NEW Printer, New CABLES (USB and TCP/IP) and the PRO Version of AUTOSCORE (For the AMBrc3 decoders, with the latest updates)

It was going to cost them just over $7700.00 for EVERYTHING they picked out.

We picked them up a USED LapTop, a USED AMBrc (USB Style) Decoder, I build them a LOOP Wire and Pickup Box, and put them RACING for 2900.00...and it took 5 months to FIND a AMBrc decoder.

IF You wait until OCTOBER there is a good chance the price will be even HIGHER then!

When I saw this post I thought why bother with used! I follow used prices from time to time.... and used "AMBrc" systems "usually" go for $2800 - $3600.... and most of them don't have software, puter, or printer.

The AMBrc3 decoder uses TCP/IP "and/or" RS232 cabling.... but thats getting hard to find on newer computers. But TCP/IP is on just about everything.

Happy racing.

Default AMBrc System Available

System is no longer being used. Comes with Decoder, Co-Axial Cable, new loop as the old one is burried in the asphalt. Copy of RC Scoring Pro the best software.

Can include an old computer for the cost of shipping it.. Used for Mini-AZ.com races every 2 weeks and QSAC West events at SpeedWorld for the past 3 years. Everything works great.

Looking for 3000$.

I have an AMBrc with 10 transponders and charging rack Carring Case and the loop I can sell for $2900 shipped and will even take Paypal even though they are going to get $120 of it and shipping and ins will be another $50-$60 so when all is said and done I will get about $2700
Used rack is around $300
10 Transponders are about $900
AMBrc decoder is around $1800 with loop
Carring case is $50

If you only need the decoder and loop I can do that too
