Sounds like you haven't done your research...!
What do you mean by "old style"... as in old Mini bodyshell vs the 'new' BMW Mini Cooper?
Tamiya made Minis on different chassis... these are original M01Ms:
58149: Rover Mini Cooper (green)
58163: Rover Mini Cooper Rally (red)
then there's the M03 one:
58211: Rover Mini Cooper Racing (blue)
The bodies are all different. The early ones have chrome screw-on bits, the blue is stickers only (but best for racing).
then there's the new BMW Mini on a M03L:
58295: New BMW Mini Cooper

Wel if you are looking for the newer M03 old style cooper I have one of those I am looking to sell too.
For TCS this year the M01 chassis is only legal for regionals, i.e. legal for milwaulkee but not the CA Nationals event. The M03 chassis is legal for Both regionals and nationals.
The M01 chassis has a taller gear ratio, thus has a speed advantage over all other legal mini configurations but is more challenging to drive due to its mono-shock suspension.
What ever you are looking for I have the hopped up M01 and a M03 with bearings, sway bars, heatsink motor mount and oil filled shocks, toe-in rear uprights, and tons of spare parts. $70.- for either one or $120 for both. Let me know, I take paypal.
