Basic difference between Factory Lite and Team kit are the Lite chassis plate has more grooving done to reduce weight, and 3 gear trans instead of stock 4 gear on Team kit ... Lite also has aluminum front axles, rear ball stud mount, and 7mm aluminum hex adapters, titanium turnbucles ... Lite also uses the HD rear axle (which accepts all the various offset hex adapters) ... Team kit the standard rear axle, plastic hex adapter stock, steel front axles and turnbuckles ...
The early B5m Team kits, used the V1 transmission, with steel 91425 top shaft, which also used larger top shaft bearings, and a V1 4-gear trans case .... later in production this was switched to a V2 trans case, 91606 aluminum top shaft and V2 size top shaft bearings ... the Factory Lite trans is V2 3-gear configuration only ...
