Genuine Castle 1717 Motor with Pinion
I've got a Castle 1717 motor for sale that I am not using right now. It is a genuine Castle motor, the original 1580KV, not a Traxxas motor from an XO-1.
This motor has 6MM output shaft and comes with one 16T MOD1 hardened steel pinion. The pinion was used on a plastic spur and some wear is visible but it is still in good shape and eminently usable. HobbyKing sells new MOD1 pinions with 6MM bore, though the 16T is no longer available.
The motor was used in a Losi 8ight 2.0 truggy and to keep the motor from banging into the chassis when landing jumps I put a piece of Kydex (plastic) under the motor. However dirt got in there and wore the anodizing off the can (as seen in the last pic) where the motor touched the plastic. Motor was only run on 4S and has never been over 140F.
