F/S HB D8 Hara SC truck/buggy
For sale my Hot Bodies D8 Hara 1/8 buggy converted to an electric SC truck using the Tekno conversion. Currently it is set up as a SC truck, but the cool thing is it can be easily converted back to an electric 1/8 buggy, all the buggy parts are included. The SC truck is super strong since it is based on the 1/8 platform, I narrowed the width to conform to SC specs by modding the arms (it is still a little wider than the ROAR specs up front, but fits within the Blitz body), adding SC bumpers and custom body mounts. This truck/buggy has all the Hara parts and other optional parts, CF front tower, CNC rear tower, 2-stage RCshox pistons, the Hara long rear shocks, WCE driveshaft’s, DE mudguards, captured hinge pins, Aluminum carriers, skid plate, Losi SCTE body mount, etc. The Tekno brushless conversion features the straight line drive train, Center diff moved to the rear, 7075 alloy chassis, caged motor mount. You get a HPI Blitz SC body (well used but serviceable), Losi 8ight-E buggy body, One set of new 17mm hex SC wheels with new Jconcepts 3Ds tires, and a set of 17mm Buggy wheels PL Tazers. I ran it as a buggy with a 1/8 TeknoNeu 1512 motor on 4s a SC with a Tekin Pro4 3300 motor on 3s. You get two sets of new front arms, one set of new rear arms, body mounts and the wing/front bumper/body mounts to convert it back to a buggy. This thing was a beast on the track and nearly indestructible. I raced it locally and did well, and it would be the ultimate basher. As a buggy it was fast, reliable and handled great. I really don't want to part with it because it was so versatile and performed so well but I am getting into helo's and the truck has just been sitting on the shelf
SOLD
HB D8 Hara edition converted to electric using the Tekno conversion kit.
Two complete sets of 17mm wheels/tires, one for buggy and one for SC.
CF front tower, custom SC body mount, Big bore shocks with 2-stage pistons. RPM front bumper.
CNC aluminum rear tower, custom rear bumper mount using the HPI Apache bumper.
Tekno conversion kit is top quality, features a 42mm caged motor mount, which is super strong and holds the motor securely with no flex what so ever.
Modded arms to narrow the track to fit inside the SC body.
Some normal wear on the chassis. No gouges, perfectly straight.
I narrowed the width for SC by using Mugen captured outer pins and using the inner holes (for the screw to hold the stock non-captured pins). Works great and still plenty strong.

Here is a link to a thread I started covering the conversion of the HB D8 1/8 to brushless power. If you forward to the last page you can see the SC conversion.
