Default ***Durango DEX210+11 - DEST210 - DESC210 Aluminum Chassis***

This is currently a feeler thread to gauge interest in having these made.

I have a machine shop willing to donate $20 for each of these sold to our RC Program for kids, catch is we need a minimum 24 to start the process.

Each will be machined with the type A rear (not the B pictured) and will come with the 2 filler pieces needed for the size you choose. Underside will only be counter sunk for all the screws.

Made out of .09 - 7075 alum. and anodized black, possibly hard anodized.

Price will be $90 shipped to the lower 48, turn around is 2 weeks from the time I give the machine shop the go. I will keep this post going for a week and if we get close to the minimum I will start the process. Not taking any money at this time and will post an updated thread when ready.

Please PM if interested.

Looks very good. I'm all set but I have a suggestion. The pic shows a type B layout. Make it a type A style. No one makes a RR hanger for the type B other than TD. Making it type A allows people to use what the have. The tab breaking shouldn't be an issue for aluminum.

Went with the type B because it looks like the type A is being discontinued.

I can have them made as type A I just need the minimum run of 24 if thats what most prefer. Might be able to mix it up but need to ask the machinest first.

Also was asked about doing Kyosho hole pattern on the rear, I would like some info on that if anyone has any, might be able to do that as well or without the rear holes and buyer drills what they want.

Good ideas. Type A is being discontinued but all it really means is that using type B parts will have an additional gap for the motor guard. Honestly though, people upgrading to aluminum probably also upgraded the RF and RR hangers already.

I'm only using a plastic RR hanger because I can't find the aluminum one that I really want.

Still looking for interested people.

The B4.2 is a possibility if there is enough interest, but want to focus on the Durango fleet for now.

How much shipped to the netherlands ( europe ) for a desc210r aluminium chassis.
But it has to be type A. Im not gonna change my aluminium hangers and bulkhead for it.

just wanna know if it is worth the money . I think a aluminium chassis would be good for winter indoor MM4 setups.

This looks nice. Why not just do a 1mm hole for the TD and kyosho stuff then people can drill their own

Good to see someone giving this a go. I have had a couple +8mm, ST and SC chassis made and the SC/ST ones are a big improvement over stock and he's offering them at a great price. Some may think it seems a little pricy, but I've looked into it and can't even do it for that, plus you're supporting a great cause. I think either the type A or B won't matter to most, but I see no point in offering it drilled for a differant tranny. You'll definitly want to get them hard anoed though, people will want there investment to last. Free bump

The DEX210 pods spacers/filler piece for the front will be included with chassis.

Looks like its the rear top bulkhead that needs to be made + opening up the rear box for the Kyosho tranny to fit. Will look into it more once I get the RB6 parts to mock up.

Thanks for the kind words. I got lucky with a machinest who is a friend but cost is crazy and he won't even turn the machine on unless we can get a good following. Not making much on these at all (maybe $20) just a bit to help raise some funds for our program. Hard anodized for sure.

Gonna run this a couple few more days, looks like we will be going with the type A chassis on the rear. Looking to decide mid next week if we go ahead with it. So far only about 10 people looking for Alum.

Shipping overseas will be actual cost -$5 I added for U.S. customers

From:

Arizona 85631
18"x2"x4"
2 lbs

kinda expensive
