stator - novak ballistic 17.5 red wire
I have a novak red wire 17.5 stator. Please read all text prior to PM'ing me:
I do not consider this stator race-worthy. I typically practice 2-3 minutes before the start of our race, and then we run 8 minute races. About 6-7 minutes into the race (8-10 minutes of total run time), the ESC detects the motor as over-temp and shuts everything down. It definitely runs hotter than my other 17.5's, about 190 when the ESC shuts it down, so I am putting a new stator in the motor. (under the same race conditions and same gearing, my 17.5 novak SS motor will run about 160-165).
If you just bash or crawl or want a stator to re-wind, or don't mind gearing down a few pinion teeth, then this stator would be fine for you, I think. But it's sold as-is, and it's up to you to decide you're willing to give it a try.
I've included detailed pictures so you can see that the windings aren't burnt up, nothing is melted, it doesn't smell at all like burnt up motor...I know it's crazy, but it's just a hot running stator.
I'm asking $18 shipped.
