Default ****** SCTE inverted lightweight battery tray ****

OPEN TO OFFERS TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO TRY THIS!

hey folks, this is something that I tried a few weeks ago and some people suggested that I try and sell some of them, so here it is.

Its a custom made battery tray for the SCTE which puts the battery towards the rear of the truck (similar to MIP pro4 setup). it's uses 2 mounting holes which work perfectly with the stock chassis or the bump chassis. I have not tried them on any other chassis, but they have the same pattern as the stock tray so they should work ok.

They weigh in at about 39-41 grams (compared to 85 gram stock battery tray) and have space to mount ESC. I run the RX8 with no problems, plenty of space.

It made my truck jump a lot more level, pretty much removing the SCTE's tendency to nosedive on jumps. it also allows you to come off turns more aggressively since more of the weight is towards the rear. Off power steering is also increased.

here is is mounted on my truck

What you will receive:

weight savings

You can use the stock screws but will need trimming or shorter ones. Also uses stock battery straps. I advice to use rubbery / foam pads with sticky backing from Home Depot to mount the battery to keep it isolated from bumps and keep it from sliding around.

Some trimming to the mud guards may be required, im not sure since I dont run my mudguards anyways

if anyone is concerned with fitment on their aftermarket chassis send me a pm so we can discuss in case it doesnt fit, I can refund the money.

again, it should fit since it uses the same mounting positions as the stock Losi battery tray. pm me!

Default .

Whats the tray made out of? and does it sit flat on the chassis or does it require shims to raise it up over the angled sides of the stock chassis?

its plastic / acrylic. its strong stuff. For stock chassis you probably will need shims underneath. When i had the stock chassis I didnt use any though, which reduces any possible flex unless you support it everywhere underneath.
