Theres a real easy fix to the bec deal on the LRP SPX8. Buy the Max amp lipo 4 cell (7.4vt) receiver pack and hook it up to it. Its very light and small enough. You could easily run the entire 3 race day on one charge and it would supply the power needed for the esc.
