Just so people know there are some youtube videos that show how to replace the laser. It only takes about 5 - 10 minutes to do it, it is very easy. I replaced the laser in mine over a year ago and it has been going strong ever since.

Absolutely, I'd do it myself but I have another unit that works fine, so I don't need 2. My brother just fixed his, said it was easy. Not to mention, this is the sweet backwards compatable version, the new units are NOT!
