I actually understand what you're trying to say Rader.

Like on Corral.net they have each mustang year broken down into sub forums

Parts as well.

Transmission Parts
Engine Parts
Electrical/Lighting.

I see what he is saying. It's actually a good idea if you guys think about it.

There could be 2 main "For Sale" forums

Nitro for sale
Electric for sale.

And then sub forums..

Nitro For Sale

Cars/Trucks for sale
Parts for sell
Wanted

just trying to get my point across. you post something 4 hours ago and its on the 8th page. some of us dont have the time to look through 8 pages to see if there is something we may be interested in. i look at the for sale ads all the time just to see if there is a good deal. i won't spend a hour on it though. i have a family and a job. if something is posted at 8 in the morning, it will probably be on the 25th page before i get a chance to see it.

First of all this guys does not have anything for sale in this thread so why is it here....

Second of all, breaking the for sale forum down into more specific groups would only hurt the sellers... How many times have you come to look at stuff with intentions of picking lets say a servo up (Which could be in nitro or electric sub thread I might add) and you end up buying a new motor or something totally unrelated to what you originally wanted.... Having them all grouped together is a good thing for this site and plenty of people are haveing no trouble at all getting things done..

And Third, I'ts not like I have a lot of posts or trader rating myself but with less then 10 posts.... Who are you to be questioning the way this site works...

Keep up the good work RCTech..... Your site is a priceless commodity for all RC users......

I felt the same way about this in the beginning. It sucks but as most say, "deal with it" or don't and go to RcUniverse who charges more than Ebay!

My personal idea on how to fix this problem was to "rent" the space at the top of the forums reserved for the "important" spots. Say $5 for a 24 hour period for your post to remain at the top. And to have no more than 10 or so per 24 hour period so there isn't 4 pages of "important" threads. I personally would pay $5 to receive a few hundred plus views in one day!

However, i PMed 3 mods about this and didn't get a single response back so obviously it is a dumb idea.

Rader has a good point and all the dorks that bashed him need to be discounted.

I don't support splitting up the forum, but I DO support a healthy conversation and see nothing wrong (or any reason to lay haste) with asking questions regarding the forum.

Give the guy a break, he was just looking for answers.
