Tekin BC112 series chargers built since early 1997 have been designed for use with Ni-MH cells, the first in the industry. Ni-MH cells have a very narrow voltage curve. Because of this they require very high accuracy analog to digital converters for dependable results. Tekin uses only the highest grade 12 bit (4096 count) analog to digital converters to insure you obtain the best results. Older and less accurate chargers can not obtain the accuracy required for best results. If your charger has H27 or higher software, then the charger will do these cells. (The software version of the charger flashes on the screen during power-up.) You should only use the "P" charge mode, not the "P2". The "P" charge mode provides higher sensitivity and high accuracy voltage detection required for the these cells. (.02-.04v cutoff) DO NOT repeak the cells unless they have fully cooled. P2 mode should not be used on Ni-MH cells as it is less sensitive and can overcharge the cells. If you have the newest H30 or higher software, then you have 3 charge sensitivity levels from which to choose. (P0, P1, P2) Use the "P0" mode.

The DIS-350 is a precision, high performance battery discharger. It can be used to test the performance of batteries, check run time, and condition cells to maintain peak power. The DIS-350 uses microprocessor controlled circuitry for accuracy and stability. It provides calibrated, standardized display readings. The DIS-350 displays Volts, Amp-Hour capacity, Time in seconds, Cutoff Voltage, Internal Resistance, Discharge Amps, and more. The unit is Self-Powered (no 12v connection required) when using on 6 or more cells. This provides convenient track use. The unit may be used to test and display the run time left over at the end of a charge. The DIS-350 may also be used with a Tekin BC112 series charger to form a combination charge/discharge cycling system. The actual discharge current will continue flowing however until the battery pack.reaches 1/2 the cutoff voltage you select. This provides for an optimum deep automatic discharge for maximum battery conditioning, but without over discharging the cells.
