Brand new CE GFX charger--still sealed in box!!
I've got a brand new in sealed box Competition Electronics GFX charger. It is the last version prior to them going LiPo so it has the preferred amber screen, etc. These bad boys are the stoutest, most versatile, most reliable multifunction charger available on the market from a company that has consistently provided among the highest levels of customer support/service in the RC industry.
Here's the page on CE's site that describes the upgrade service they provide. http://www.competitionelectronics.co.../upgrades.html I've sent three chargers in for upgrading now and find that CE turns these bad boys around FAST. I can't say enough good about the folks there.
Tired of pissing around with chargers that overheat trying to discharge a battery at 10amps? Or chargers that only discharge at piddley little rates like 5amps (or 2amps, or...)? These GFX chargers will discharge pack after pack after pack all day at 35amps and provide the industry standard for information when you cycle packs. Plus it performs a number of other useful functions (motor run, esc testing, etc) by adding adjustable current and voltage capabilities to your plain old power supply.
And do you want to know the safest way to get more performance out of your LiPo battery? Discharge it at 25-35 amps then charge it up before racing...according to Danny Sullivan (Mr. SMC) this "wakes up" the electrolyte and makes the battery perform better on it's first run of the day. And this is done chemically inside the battery by using it as it is intended to be used...no ineffective or potentially unsafe heating devices, no unsafe charging techniques.
I bought this when I was using NiMH and wanted two GFX's for my race kit and two for my bench at home. Now that I've gone to all LiPo now, though, I really don't need two on my bench because I'm not cycling batteries like I had to before. Now I just use the two in my race kit to do exactly what I describe above.
The sticker price on this bad boy was $430. Stormer is selling the current LiPo-Ready version for $380 plus shipping and is out of stock (again). I will sell this sealed in box unit for $250/shipped. Competition Electronics will upgrade it to the latest LiPo-ready firmware for $50 and they do so quickly and efficiently so you would have a brand new (and it doesn't get any better than new) 100% current GFX for $300. This is a screamin' deal ($80 less than the online discount price!!) for the best charger in the land. I wouldn't give mine up for the world...I use the heck out of them.
POSSIBLE TRADES: I'm looking for KO BMC brushless esc's, Novak Ballistic brushless motors
In fact if the buyer wishes I would be happy to send this directly to CE for them and save the cost of the buyer shipping it there. Then the buyer could arrange to have the unit upgraded and sent to them from CE.
If interested my PayPal is [email protected] . Check my feedback, my stuff is as it's described and my service is excellent.
