No paypal means he is looking for a certified bank check mailed to him before he ships, and that means your money is gone regardless if you get the item or not. He knows you can file a claim with paypal and get your money back if he screws you.
I wouldn't buy from ANYONE without paypal, and I MIGHT consider a cashiers check if they have a long feedback history of 100% and I have done business with them before.

I bought it. He seems like a cool guy and he did sign up for paypal.
It is amazing how jaded some people are intead of being an adult and actually talking to the person.
